Since long, India has being land of great challenges on different socio-political, economical or cultural front and to resolve these hurdles visionaries have always put forth their part of Idea of India rather Idea of New India. Vision of India is not a new concept to this country of diversity. It is and had always being highly discussed debate. Imagining of a India as World Political Supremo; Socially Responsible; Economically Strong; and Culturally Respected Nation, have always being her visionaries' vision. From our forefathers who won us freedom to today's every individual who demands the basic right of leading a simple life, it has being a blissful experience of Dreams of seeing India as a strong Nation.

According to our Former President Dr Kalam (who advocated the very idea of Vision 2020 in his books) defines it as " India of No Rural-Urban Divide; of balanced cooperation among Agriculture, Industries and service sector; of Education with Indian value system; of No societal or economic discrimination on basis of race, creed, caste, religion or linguistic grounds"
He went further, " of Empowered citizens in general and Women and Youth in particular; of Good governance; of Poverty totally eradicated; illiteracy removed, crime against women and children is absent; and no one in the society feels alienated; Devoid of terrorism, peaceful and happy, and continues on a sustainable growth path".
Visionaries' vision often alter with time. Like, Gandhiji's Vision for India in 1918 would definitely have been a Free India. Freedom from Britain, End of Exploitation by British forces. After the proclamation of Freedom for India, his views would have been for Betterment of backward groups and upliftment of his fellow harijans.
But it is also important to understand these visionary view also adds up different or other dimensions of particular opinion with passing time.
Let's target 2030 as deadline to attain the very ideas for which our forefathers have always dreamt off. Primarily, The idea of Roti, Kapda, Makaan, Shiksha, Swasth for all and secondly, of World Supremo in terms of polity and economic development.
